Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and who we share it with. Last updated 2026-10-10.

Who we are

Swagimals ("we", "us") sells made-to-order pet merchandise at swagimals.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse, create a pet preview, or place an order. Questions: support@swagimals.com or Swagimals, P.O. Box 570337, Atlanta, GA 30357.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email, shipping address, phone number (optional) and what you bought.
  • Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never touch our servers; we keep only Stripe's reference IDs and the last outcome of the payment.
  • Pet photos: if you upload a photo of your pet to see a preview or order a portrait canvas, we store that photo and the images generated from it so we can show you the preview, print your order and support you afterwards.
  • Account (optional): email and password hash if you create one. You can buy as a guest.
  • Site usage: pages viewed, cart activity, device and browser type, and the referring link or campaign that brought you here, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email or through our contact form.

How we use it

  • To price, charge, make and ship your order, and to send you order and shipping confirmations.
  • To generate pet previews and portrait artwork you ask for.
  • To answer support requests, handle returns, refunds and disputes.
  • To send marketing email only if you opted in; every message has an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand how the site is used, prevent fraud and keep the service secure.
  • To meet legal obligations, including sales-tax reporting.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:

  • Stripe — payment processing, fraud prevention and sales-tax calculation (your shipping address and email).
  • Printify and its print partners — producing and shipping your order (your name, shipping address, phone if given, and the artwork to print).
  • Amazon Web Services — hosting, image storage and sending our transactional email.
  • AI image providers (currently Google) — generating previews and portrait artwork from the pet photo you upload. Photos are sent for that purpose only.
  • Analytics and advertising tools — aggregated or pseudonymous usage data, where you've consented to non-essential cookies.
  • Shipping carriers — your name and address, for delivery and tracking.
  • Authorities or advisers where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, customers or the public.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep your cart and checkout working. Optional analytics and marketing cookies help us understand what's popular and measure campaigns; you can decline them in the cookie notice or block them in your browser without affecting your ability to order.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require (generally seven years). Pet photos and generated previews that are not attached to an order are deleted after 90 days; those attached to an order are kept with the order so we can support reprints and claims. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in any email.
  • Ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to delete your pet photos, by emailing support@swagimals.com. We'll verify the request and respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some order data to satisfy legal obligations.
  • Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have additional rights (to know, delete, correct and opt out of "sale" or "sharing"); we do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

Our store is for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16; if you think a child has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.

Security and changes

We use encryption in transit, restricted access to production systems, and Stripe for every payment. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password if you create an account. If we change this policy in a meaningful way we'll post the new version here with a new date.
